Zachery Morris is currently a Senior Paint artist at Weta Digital with over 7 years experience in feature film industry and has worked as a photographer, editor, motion graphics designer leading him to specialising in visual effects today. Zachery began his career at Park Road Post Production as a Visual Effects artist where he gained  a solid understanding of the film pipeline.  Having worked on over 20 feature film projects from “30 Days of Night” and “Red Cliff” to “Knowing”, “The Lovely Bones” and “District 9”, he quickly found his passion and talent in compositing and visual effects.

In 2011 he joined Weta Digital as a freelance Nuke compositor on “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”, before working on a high- profiled episodic TV series “Spartacus” Season 2 & 3 as a Lead Compositor and Nuke pipeline developer at Digipost. In 2013 he returned to Weta Digital to work on Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug ““The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies” and “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”.

Always striving to expand his knowledge and skills in the industry, Zak continues to push the envelope in this fast moving VFX industry and is now helping to develop Nuke pipelines and plug-ins in Paint department at Weta Digital.
